Thank you for your interest in Suffolk Cadet Squadron 10. We are a unit of the Civil Air Patrol, the United States Air Force Auxiliary. Our three congressionally-chartered missions include Emergency Services, Aerospace Education and the Cadet Program. Civil Air Patrol has over 61,000 members nationwide and operates a fleet of 550 aircraft.
The Cadet Program transforms youth into dynamic Americans and aerospace leaders through a curriculum of leadership, aerospace, fitness, and character. Our program follows a military model and emphasizes Air Force traditions and values. Today's cadets are tomorrow's aerospace leaders.
In our Emergency Services capacity, Civil Air Patrol performs 90 percent of inland search and rescue missions as tasked by the Air Force Rescue Coordination Center (AFRCC). CAP is credited with saving an average of approximately 80 lives each year. Our unpaid professionals also perform homeland security, disaster relief and drug interdiction missions at the request of federal, state and local agencies.
If you would like more information about joining the Civil Air Patrol, please contact us. Our unit meets on the grounds of Long Island MacArthur Airport every Tuesday evening from 1900 to 2200 at 1600 Lincoln Avenue, Holbrook, NY.
